The requirements for the development of the D800 Desk were clear: to be the most stable desk on the market, with a particularly large adjustment range so that it can also be used with a treadmill and accommodate the needs of tall people, adjustability not only in height but also in-depth, and all this with a smart iconic design and with a good environmental footprint.
Despite the large adjustment range which is unique on the market, the desk is rock solid even when fully extended due to its solid wooden A-shaped base construction.
The height-adjustable desk is available in 2 sizes - 120x80cm & 155x80cm. The 2-segment column contains two silent motors that allow the table to vary quickly between 100cm and 150cm in height, continuously and without shaking, thanks to a soft start & stop function. A 4 way cushioned rail underneath the tabletop also allows for convenient and stepless depth adjustment, which can also be locked in place if required. In addition, we also offer the desk in a custom width (110 - 180 cm).
The innovative table top
For the tabletop, we use for the first time a new type of leather-based recycled material that combines sustainability and innovation. Leather scraps that come from the shoe/bag or other leather processing industries are shredded, natural fats and color pigments are added and bound with natural rubber. The result is a new material that is not an artificial leather, but a genuine leather fiber.
The material consists of otherwise not further usable leather recyclables, i.e. no animal is deliberately or additionally killed for the production.
This innovative material offers the user a soft and pleasant feel, warm to the touch, unlike wood.
The luxurious appearance blends harmoniously into any interior and captivates with its typical leather smell. Of course, it is also certified according to the Ökotex leather standard and has no harmful ingredients.
The homogeneous appearance is visually appealing and was specially designed for use as a desk pad. You can easily write on it or operate a mouse.
The surface is also largely resistant to light scratches and fingerprints, to chemical influences of household chemicals.
The wooden base and the frame
The wooden base is made of FSC certified beech wood. The sturdy and scratch-resistant steel elements of the legs are powder-coated in RAL 9005 jet black matte. The crossbar is made of galvanized steel.
