Everytime a Walkolution user walks 10.000 steps and tracks these steps with the complimentary Walkolution app, we donate one tree. With the average user walking around 15.000 steps per day on the Walkolution treadmill, we follow the goal to plant a truely significant number of trees to make a meaningful environmental impact. This donation is fully financed by Walkolution.
For full transparency, you are also able to track your tree's growth, and it’s CO2 compensation as well as oxygen production. By purchasing and using our product, you are an active member of being part of the solution to deforestation and its effect on local communities and our planet.

Planting trees for the massive loss in them over the years is crucial for the future of the planet. Yet equally, we need to focus on protecting the trees standing today. Because although planting trees ensures a great amount of CO2 absorption in the future, we also need action right now. That is why we are committed not only to planting trees but also protecting the existing forests, which are the ones that will make the biggest impact right now. For every milestone we reach in our tree plantation, Walkolution will purchase a piece of land in the Rainforest, to protect it from being cut down. With your steps, we can protect the trees of the present and future.
For over 350 million years, trees have been providing earth with the crucial factors that have made earth inhabitable for us. Aside from providing habitats for millions of species, they also collect and store carbon from the atmosphere and produce oxygen. This ability is greatly overlooked by us humans, as we are cutting down over 15 billion trees annually, meaning almost 50% of all the trees on earth have been cleared out over the past 12,000 years. With the rise of unsustainable amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere due to excessive use of transportation and the animal industry, trees should be the evident and natural solution to the problems we are causing.
